I get asked all of the time “Why do you take so many pictures?” The answer is, I want to remember our lives and have photos to look back on. I wasn’t always like that though. I hardly have any photos from when we were dating, I didn’t focus on the photographer for our wedding, and I don’t have any photos from our honeymoon. 13 years ago it wasn’t as easy to document your lives, and I honestly didn’t even think about pictures then. Now if I could do it all over again, the photographer would be the #1 important thing when planning our wedding. For those reasons, I make sure to document everything now. When we’re old, I want to be able to look back and see what our lives were like, how much we loved each other, our vacations, etc. Not to mention, I change my hair a lot. (Joking, but seriously I do)
Document your lives. One day photos will be all you have, so make sure you have plenty of them. Don’t forget to print them either! I love my digital images just as much as the next person, but I print my photos. Prints will last forever, digital media changes constantly. I recommend MPix for your personal printing needs.
Yesterday, I documented more of our lives. I pretty much take our photos every season, so here’s our latest. I love my husband!
